What Magpie holds
For each artifact: the public link, the title and description as they appeared on the page that linked to it, a category, and the date it was recorded. No artifact content is copied, mirrored or embedded. If a record is yours and you would rather it were not here, have it removed and it is deleted, with no argument and no review.

Do I need to pay to search?
No. Searching is free and needs no account. Paying lifts the cap on how many records one search returns, from 15 to all of them.
Why is there a cap at all?
A daily crawl, a database and hosting cost money, and the cap is what pays for them.
Could I not just collect these myself?
You could, one at a time. Artifact pages carry a noindex tag, so a search engine will not list them, and each link has to be spotted on some page that mentions it. A crawl has been doing that every morning and filing what it finds into 15 categories, with about one record in twenty still unsorted.
Is it a subscription?
No. One payment of $9, and nothing renews.
What happens if Magpie shuts down?
You can export your collections and watchlists as CSV or JSON at any time, and the refund terms say what happens to a recent payment.
