Magpie is an unofficial index of Claude artifacts that people published to the open web. It exists so you can find out whether one of them is yours.
Publishing an artifact in Claude creates a URL that anyone holding the link can open. There is no password on it, no expiry and no list of allowed viewers. People publish one to show a colleague, and then stop thinking about it.
Most of what is in here is harmless. Some of it is a sales dashboard with real revenue on it, or a client proposal, or a class worksheet. Those authors are usually unaware, and there is no way for them to find out except by being told.
Artifact pages ask search engines not to index them, and mostly that works. So none of these were found by searching Claude. Each one was found on some other page that mentioned it: a Hacker News comment, a blog post, a GitHub issue. A crawl runs every morning and looks for new ones.
What gets stored is the public link, the title and description as they appeared on the page that linked to it, a category, and the date it was recorded. No artifact content is copied, mirrored or embedded, and every record opens on claude.ai.
Sorting is keyword rules first, with a model placing what the rules cannot. It is imperfect: about one record in twenty ends up in Other, and roughly half carry no description because the linking page gave nothing beyond a title.
Take the artifact down at the source first, using the unpublish steps. That is the part that stops anyone reading it. Then ask for the record to be removed and it is deleted here, with the ID blocked so the next crawl does not add it back.
No review, no argument and no charge. Removing a record here does not unpublish anything on claude.ai, and it does not reach Google or anyone who already copied the link.
Searching is free and needs no account. How many records one search returns depends on the account: 15 signed out, 50 with a free account, and no cap on Pro. Pro is $9 once, and it also adds collections, watchlists and exports.
That pays for the daily crawl, the database and the hosting. What it buys is the collecting and the sorting, which is the work; the artifacts belong to whoever made them.
Magpie is built and run by WeekndLabs, and reachable at support@weekndlabs.com. It is not made, endorsed or reviewed by Anthropic, and Claude is Anthropic's trademark, used here only to describe what the index catalogues.
It is not a mirror, an archive or a way around anything. Every record here was already reachable by anyone holding the link, and taking a record out of this index does not make an artifact private. It is a list of what is already open, kept so the people who opened it can find out.
